Sainik School Medical Examination

After seat acceptance, candidates will have to report at the Medical Examination Center as per the Slot allotted by the admitting school. It is the parent's responsibility to get the medical done of their son/daughter, however, the school will provide help to the candidates in coordinating with Medical Authorities, in case of any problem faced by the parents.

Medical Review for ‘HOLD’ Candidates

If the candidate is declared medically unfit during the verification process at the allotted school, they will be put on ‘HOLD’. In this case, they need to appear for a review medical board within the specified timeline. The final seat allocation will depend on the outcome of this medical review process.

Medical Examination Details

Family and Personal Medical History

  • Family history of diseases like tuberculosis, diabetes, hypertension, etc.
  • Personal medical history including any past illnesses, surgeries, or injuries.

General Medical Examination

Height, weight, urine examination, blood examination, physique, skin condition, abdomen assessment, cardiovascular system evaluation (heart size, sounds, rhythm, pulse rate, blood pressure), respiratory system examination (including chest measurements and X-ray when applicable), assessment of the central nervous system, speech, mental capacity, emotional stability, endocrine conditions, and any other abnormalities affecting physical capacity.

Surgery Examination

Evaluation of upper limbs, lower limbs (including assessment for knock knees), lumbar and sacral vertebrae, genitourinary and perineum, hernia, muscle, and chest.

Eye Examination

Assessment of distant and near vision, color vision, binocular vision, and special examinations when applicable.

Ear, Nose & Throat Examination

Evaluation of hearing, external ear, middle ear, inner ear, nose condition, throat, and any other related conditions.

Dental Examination

Assessment of dental condition including the number of teeth, missing or unsavable teeth, condition of gums, and overall dental health.

Gynecology (for female candidates)

This is specifically related to girl candidates. They get examined by Gynecologist.
